Rarely drink or gamble these days so my fuck it switch is often just a bowl of ice cream when I could easily just go to bed. I'm fine with that. Wasn't gonna drink before Sydney Marathon but I had a boys trip last weekend and after a solid ride to Point Perpendicular Lighthouse we stopped in at the bowlo and I had a beer. One wasn't gonna slow my training and the following day was travel so no running anyway. I think it's in check for me right now.

Sam, have you been to the GP for your cough? Do you have ventolin already? Could be worth going to the GP. 2 weeks is a long time to have a cold. My cough lingers because colds trigger my asthma.

Other things that can help is elevating your your head when you go to bed (sleeping with a couple of pillows under your head, this can stop the mucus from pooling). Another thing that can help is a humidifier, which makes sure you're breathing in warm moist air. Cold, dry air is irritable for the airways/
