I think there’s a chance your overthinking it and you’ll have a great time

Of course, that's what I do! I'm a dad and sober now though, so it's like doing all these things for the first time all over again.

Isnt saying “that’s what I do” just reinforcing that belief about yourself? What if you’ve changed?

Yeah, potentially. But I was making light of it too. Like taking the piss out of myself for doing it. It reminds myself to not be so serious all the time and that i don't need to overthink things. Hard to convey in text though.

Did you stop taking the Dex abruptly? And why is it illegal there but legal here?

Yeah, essentially I replaced it with the Ritalin, my understanding is you take one, or the other.

Not sure, it's a strange joint. I think they have a big problem with meth over there and maybe they think dex is a gateway to meth but I don't understand why dex would be and Ritalin isn't.

I really enjoyed listening to the girl who fell from the sky. Ash Bartys book is also great and I enjoyed four thousand weeks too (author has been on the imperfects). oh and I really loved no one listens to your dads show.

if you want some fiction, Boy Swallows Universe and I recently read The Great Alone.

Mans Search for meaning is a great book too.

Could also download a bunch of podcast episodes onto your phone as well :)

Is that about the girl from canberra who was in the skydiving accident? I listened to her on a podcast.

I’ve been meaning to get onto the dads podcast one! I’ll get that one now!

yes it is :) I didn't realise she was from Canberra until I started listening.

And no one listens to your dad show is Christian O'Connells book

Yeah neither, I was surprised that I hadn't heard the story until I had, haha. By that I mean, it was years later and I thought it was something I would have heard about on the grapevine at least.

Sweet, I'll get it!
