Sobering Thoughts Community Support Group
Sober? Sober-Curious? Looking to better support someone in Recover/Active Addiction? Think you can help people doing it tough? Join our online free Online Community Support Group.
Last week, I (very softly) announced that we were kicking off a completely free community support group.
This group is not exclusively for people in sobriety/recovery. It’s for the sober-curious people looking to reduce their alcohol or substance intake and people who are looking for ways to support a friend or loved one struggling with addiction or recovery.
I’m also hoping there are some people out there with some accredited qualification or lived experience who are keen to help other members do it tough.
As it stands, the group is a WhatsApp chat group. It's nothing fancy, but I think this format can make it easier for those considering making a lifestyle change than lobbing up to a meeting where they don’t know anyone or picking up the phone and talking to a stranger about how they feel.
I’m excited to see what the group could become, and my intention is for the group to decide what it needs to be and allow it to organically evolve from there into whatever is going to be the most effective way to help the most people.
We’ve already had a great group of legends jump in from different corners of Australia and the world. Some of the content has been incredibly insightful, helpful and inspiring.
What better time than New Year’s Eve to join a community that could help you stick to those New Year's Resolutions?
CLICK HERE to jump in. If you find it’s not for you, you can leave, and you’ve lost nothing. But who knows, it might just be the first step towards making those changes you’ve been talking about making for years!
Also, please forward the link to anyone who could benefit from such a group.
I look forward to seeing you guys in there and helping as many people as possible!
Cheers Wankers.
X.
